Language Courses and Summer Camps in Rome
Overview
Everything that can be said about Rome has already been said. Rather than be subjected to some pompous, overworked, purple prose that is about charming trattorie, winding vicoli, friendly proprietors, the glory of the Roman Empire, airy piazze, sweeping panoramas, picturesque cityscapes, the chic of modern Italian culture, and the Baroque-Romanesque-Rococo-bas-relief-terra-cotta
basilica with the beautiful chapel on the left that you just can’t miss, you are simply advised to visit the Eternal City whenever you can, for as long as you possibly can.

How to Arrive at your Language Course
By Plane
Rome Leonardo Da Vinci (“Fiumicino”) international airport is located 35 km southwest of the city. Trenitalia’s Leonardo Express and FL1 train can be taken directly from inside the airport. The Terravision and SIT buses also connect Fiumicino to Termini rail station.
Rome Ciampino is the second largest airport in Rome and is only 12 km from the city center. The city center can be accessed by taking a COTRAL bus to Anagnina underground station and from there, a direct train to Termini station in just 15 minutes on the metro Line A. Terravision and SIT buses also connect Ciampino to Termini.
The SIT buses from both airports also make an intermediate stop in the Vatican area, as well as a few other stops on request, before proceeding to Termini.
Taxis are also available from outside both airports and offer fixed rates to addresses inside the city walls.
By Train and Bus
Termini is Rome’s largest train station, and has connections to all major cities in Italy, with journeys operated by the major Italian providers Trenitalia and Italo. From Termini, there are underground (metro lines A and B) and overground trains, trams and buses to every other part of the city and its surrounding areas.
Tiburtina is Rome’s second largest station and is accessed by the B metro line. From there are trains and buses to other parts of the city, as well as a bus station with long distance services to other parts of Italy.
