How Enrolment Works
When you have made a definitive decision on booking your language course and accommodation abroad, let us know, and you can fill out our online form, or ask us for our paper form that you can fill out and either send by email after scanning it, or by fax. You can also download the paper form from our website. Once we have received it, we will register your details with the school and accommodation. At that point, the school will send back an enrolment confirmation and/or invoice, in which they will request a course and/or accommodation deposit. The payment instructions, including any banking details, will be listed on one of these documents, or we will send it to you via email along with the documents. One of the most usual methods of payment is by wire transfer, in which you must always request that the bank fees be charged to your account as payer, and not to the school as beneficiary or shared between the two. In the latter two cases, a portion of the payment will not arrive in the school’s account, and the school may not proceed with the final confirmation of your place in the course and/or accommodation until the payment is completed. The other most common method of payment is by credit card, usually Visa or MasterCard and rarely American Express, which you can submit by fax either to Marshall Language Services or to the school directly. The payment will be processed by the school. It is sometimes possible to enter the card details directly on the secure site of the school, and in this case, this fact will be communicated along with the payment instructions. Some schools charge more to receive credit cards, but when they don’t, this is usually the fastest, cheapest and most practical method of payment for the student. It is often sensible to pay just the deposit by credit card, and then pay the balance with the same card or by wire transfer. In the case of payment by credit card, it will be easier to receive any refunds that might be due.
The balance of the course and accommodation is due at least one month prior to your arrival in the accommodation. If the school requires that the balance be paid sooner, we will let you know when we send you the confirmation documents.
