Alphabet International Camps offers innovative summer programs in the heart of Italy, blending education, culture and adventure for an unforgettable experience. The Alphabet City camp, designed for 12 to 17 year olds, is a unique urban experience in one of the most exciting and culturally rich cities in the world. The program takes participants on a journey through Rome, from its most famous landmarks to its best-kept secrets while studying English or Italian.
Everything that can be said about Rome has already been said. Rather than be subjected to some pompous, overworked, purple prose that is about charming trattorie, winding vicoli, friendly proprietors, the glory of the Roman Empire, airy piazze, sweeping panoramas, picturesque cityscapes, the chic of modern Italian culture, and the Baroque-Romanesque-Rococo-bas-relief-terra-cotta basilica with the beautiful chapel on the left that you just can’t miss, you are simply advised to visit the Eternal City whenever you can, for as long as you possibly can.

The courses
COURSE CONTENT AND SAMPLE TIMETABLE
Students study a foreign language (English or Italian) and learn about the historical and cultural heritage of Rome while living the life of their Roman peers. The whole program is delivered in English, and the daily schedule is organized into three sections: Academic, Cultural, and Social.
Academic Program
The academic program is divided into two segments: Language Learning and Cultural Education. Students choose between English or Italian language instruction and follow a 10-hour weeklong curriculum. Directly following the language classes, students come together for Cultural Education classes, which are complementary to the program and discuss the cultural topic of the day ranging from ancient history to cooking to contemporary Roman life.
Cultural Program
Every afternoon, students set off to discover the architectural, cultural, and historical gems of Rome.
Social Program
In the evening, students continue to explore the Roman way of life as the sun sets. They are treated to authentic Roman cuisine, night walks, live music and more.

Residential Accommodation
The Alphabet City camp program includes residential accommodation in a recently refurbished residence near the Vatican. Students are housed in shared rooms of 2 to 4 students. Rooms are modern with ensuite bathroom, kitchenette with fridge, and air conditioning. There are several communal spaces, including a beautiful roof terrace. Wi-Fi connection is available throughout the property.
Meals
Residential accommodation includes a full-board meal plan.
Laundry
Bed linen and towels are provided, and laundry is done once a week.
Insurance
Insurance covering medical and travel assistance, personal liability and trip cancellation is not included in the price of the program. Marshall Language Services has a policy available through Guard.Me that covers these elements, as well as an additional policy through CareMed that covers cancellation under a wider range of circumstances, including the need to repeat school exams.
