London School of English, Canterbury: 73 Castle St, Canterbury CT1 2QD, UK
“As long time members of IALC, I became familiar with this school early in my career, when it was called Canterbury Language Training. It has always specialized in English language training for professionals, and is unique for the fact that it’s located in a historic city in Kent, the county known as the Garden of England, where there is not a proliferation of foreign language schools in general. Students at this school will have the opportunity to engage in a top-quality professional English course from one of the most prestigious language training centers in the UK, and to stay with an English family who has been selected with this type of student in mind. If students are older and just need General English, then there is the course option for students over 30, which is not available in most schools. All clients of this school will especially enjoy Canterbury and the surrounding area. It is a beautiful, walkable city, and the entire county is filled with more historic locations, noble country homes, castles, and holiday parks (also by the sea) than can be visited in a single vacation. It makes for a fantastic alternative to London for this type of course, and then anyone wanting the excitement of the capital can be there in just an hour.”

EXECUTIVE HOMESTAY
One of the best ways to learn more about the people of Britain is to choose homestay accommodation. All homestays are carefully selected and visited regularly to ensure consistently high standards. Homestays are in fact the accommodation of choice for the majority of students. The school and Marshall Language Services recommend this form of accommodation the most for language learning. Family life is informal and the people are welcoming, friendly and talkative, so students will have plenty of opportunities to practice their English with native speakers. By booking homestay accommodation, students will also not have to worry about shopping for food and preparing meals every day. Mealtimes are often the occasions in which families converse most with the students.
Additional homestay provisions and information
- Executive homestay includes a single bedroom and private bathroom.
- Meal Plan: breakfast and dinner every day, all meals at weekends
