“I have been working with the London School of English since the beginning of my career as educational consultant. As a school, it is truly unique for the large assortment of language courses it offers for specific professions. There are, for example, courses in various cities for Legal English, but often these are only offered as afternoon components of General English courses, as is the case many other business and professional English courses in other language schools. At the London School of English Holland Park, the professional English courses are fairly short and intense, and cover primarily the language for that topic during the full day. Many of the popular courses are also offered several times a year, as is not always true for other schools, which gives students with inflexible commitments at home more possibility of benefiting from them. Participants on all these courses will also appreciate the fact that the students in the school tend to be older, and many already have years of professional experience, which will allow them to learn not only the content of their course but also to network and benefit from the practical knowledge of their peers. For this reason, the school organizes special networking events in the school, and more conversation is possible during the lunch that the school includes every day during the week for its students. Finally, students will enjoy the beautiful area in which the school is located, and the fact that for a city the size of London, the host families are fairly close by. The city itself will give them plenty to do and see while they are there, and for a longer stay, many possibilities of a job or internship once the course is completed.”

HOST FAMILY
One of the best ways to learn more about the people of Britain is to choose homestay accommodation. All homestays are carefully selected and visited regularly to ensure consistently high standards. Homestays are in fact the accommodation of choice for the majority of students. The school and Marshall Language Services recommend this form of accommodation the most for language learning. Family life is informal and the people are welcoming, friendly and talkative, so students will have plenty of opportunities to practice their English with native speakers. By booking homestay accommodation, students will also not have to worry about shopping for food and preparing meals every day. Mealtimes are often the occasions in which families converse most with the students.
