More Than English is an international summer school located just outside of Ludlow, a small medieval town in central England. A truly English town, Ludlow offers the perfect choice for parents who want a safe adventure for their children. The school offers a full immersion program combining English lessons with a variety of afternoon options catering to all kinds of students and an exciting after school program of activities and excursions.
Ludlow is a small medieval town in Shropshire, England. The black and white buildings from Shakespeare’s time and the narrow medieval streets make Ludlow one of the most beautiful towns in England. With only 11,000 people and a pedestrianized center, Ludlow is very safe and perfect for teenagers to explore. Students love climbing to the top of the castle tower and the small independent shops provide a safe place to shop for souvenirs.
The location of Ludlow in the center of England makes it ideal for students to visit the rest of the UK. The cosmopolitan Birmingham is just 1 hour 15 minutes away from the campus, and the historic Worcester is just one hour.

“I met David and Clare, the directors of More than English, in personal an international fair of international study programs. I selected this program from the literally thousands available on the junior market for several reasons. To begin with, it is not a program aimed at groups of students, but is more for motivated individuals. The English course is only intensive, and offers some highly requested options for preparing the FCE and CAE exams, professional sport instruction, and leadership, among many others. There program also includes participation by local British children (a perk that is not too common, and found only on some of the very best programs I deal with), which allows the students not only to practice their English, but also to make friends with whom to stay in touch after it’s over. As a destination, I am a particular fan of the center of England. It is full of some of the mostly beautiful, postcard-worthy towns in the UK, and traveling from one town to any other is a pleasure for the view of the countryside and villages. As a program, More than English also offers parents an excellent value. Aside from the airport transfers and insurance that are included with the package, a 1:4 ratio of staff to students is difficult to find, and where it exists, it usually comes at a much higher price. The overall number of students is ideal—at 75, it large enough for participants to be able to make friends with children from many nationalities, but at the same time, the atmosphere for everyone remains intimate.”

Humans are the most creative species on the planet. But who is faster, more efficient, and more accurate than a human at repetitive tasks? Robots are of course. Think of Amazon. Think of a Volkswagen car factory. Think of Uber. In the 21st century, for a company to be successful, it must automate repetitive tasks leaving humans free to work on the big ideas.
But somebody needs to design and program the robots. In this course, working in your international team, competing against other teams, you are going to learn how to build and program your robot to get the job done first. Part of your job will be using AI (Artificial Intelligence) to program your robot so that it can automatically adapt when its environment changes. If you love technology and if you want to gain skills for the future economy, this is the course for you.
