“The Summer School program at Whitgift was introduced to me by a foreign colleague who specializes in the very best academic year and summer programs in England. Parents will appreciate that this program is run by the school itself, rather than an outside organization taking over the facilities, so that the classes, accommodation and activities will be organized by the school’s own staff. As a program, it has many advantages over other teenage summer programs in England. For one, it does not cater to large groups of students, so children who attend on an individual basis will be able to receive a lot of attention, and practice their English with students of other nationalities who are participating in the program in the same way. The English course itself is necessarily intensive, and students can choose exam preparation as part of the content, a component not available on many summer programs. Finally, the students will also be able to appreciate the native English-speaking local children who participate in the afternoon activities, compelling them to use with them the language they have learned. Whitgift is also in a wonderful location, with its exceptional grounds and facilities, all just half an hour from Central London, allowing students to enjoy the excitement of the capital on excursions.”
