Inlingua Cheltenham: 9 Rodney Rd, Cheltenham GL50 1HX, United Kingdom
“I became familiar with Inlingua Cheltenham many years ago, when a member of its staff/former student there visited my office, and I had heard of the famous Cotswolds, the area of England in which the school is located, but I had no conception of the school or location until I went for a visit in 2016. The tour I was on included many stops in Central England, and the journeys from town to town were a visual delight. Cheltenham itself is very beautiful, with elegant buildings from the Regency period (early 1800s) green spaces and many upscale restaurants and cafés. As for the school itself, what surprised me most was its sheer size—often in the lesser-known locations for English language study, and especially where a language school is the only one in the city, the school tends to be small; Inlingua’s selection of courses, however, is huge, and it also offers a dedicated Executive Centre in one of its buildings, a junior program with limits on single nationalities that are so important, and high school placement. Here, students will have the advantage of being in a city without many foreign students, but with area university campuses, which give them the opportunity to make friends with locals their own age. As a city, Cheltenham is small enough to be walkable, but large enough for there to be many things to do. It is a tourist destination also for the English, and as such has a wide range of events and festivals. All in all, it is a great place to have a high-quality language course and authentically English experience in some of the most beautiful surroundings of the UK.”

HOST FAMILY
One of the best ways to learn more about the British way of life and culture is to choose homestay accommodation. All homestays are carefully selected and visited regularly to ensure consistently high standards. Homestay is in fact the accommodation of choice for the majority of Horner students. The school and Marshall Language Services recommend this form of accommodation the most for language learning. Family life is informal and the people are welcoming, friendly and talkative, so students will have plenty of opportunities to practice their English with native speakers. By booking homestay accommodation, students will also not have to worry about shopping for food and preparing meals every day. Mealtimes are often the occasions in which families converse most with the students.
