Village Camps has 48 years of experience offering residential summer camps to juniors in stunning locations around the world. Village Camps France, located along the Ardèche river in southern France, offers juniors aged 11 – 17 three jam-packed programs of Adventure camp and French language with activities including rock climbing, caving, mountain biking, canyoning, and the highlight, a two-day canoe trip down the Ardèche River.
The Ardèche is an unspoiled area of the Rhône Alpes region of France. It has an impressive landscape that includes forests, rolling hills, open moorland, rivers, valleys, cliffs and waterfalls. Ardèche’s most famous natural attraction is the Gorges de l’Ardèche, a 32km spectacular gorge located in the southern part of the area. The gateway to the gorge is the Pont d’Arc natural arch, at the foot of which lies a sandy beach, where visitors can lounge and bathe.

Student Welfare
A carefully selected group of dedicated and experienced Village Camps Ardèche counsellors organize and supervise all activities at all times.
Transfers
Village Camps Ardèche offers round trip transfer from Lyon Airport, Marseille Airport, Geneva Airport or Valence TGV Station at an additional cost. To organize the transfers, Marshall Language Services will need to furnish the participant’s flight information to Village Camps Ardèche . If children are travelling as unaccompanied minors, Village Camps Ardèche staff will receive them from the airline staff, and when the program is over, accompany the participants back to the airport and hand over the children to airline staff.

Summer Camp Program
Village Camps Ardèche offers juniors aged 11 – 17 the opportunity to choose a specialty program from a variety of options that are followed in the mornings for 3 hours. For the rest of the day, campers from all programs come together for a variety of general camp activities. Learners of all levels and abilities are welcome for all programs.
Specialty program options include:
- Adventure Camp: This program includes a thrilling range of river based adventure and sports activities featuring rock climbing, caving, mountain biking and canyoning.
- Advanced Adventure Camp: This program is available only to returning campers aged 13-17 who have the necessary skill sets. Advanced Adventure provides Adventure Activities that are more progressive in nature than those introduced in the classic Adventure program.
- French Language Camp: This program is open to learners of all levels and includes 12 hours of language lessons per week.
Combo Camp
Village Camps offers campers the opportunity to spend 2 weeks at one and 2 weeks at another of their various camp locations around the world. Families must make the travel arrangements for the first and last part of the trip and the Village Camps team will provide the transfer in between. There are no additional fees for the following:
- Transfer from the first camp to the airport
- Return or one-way counsellor-escorted flight
- Night(s) at a hotel, if necessary
- Sightseeing and meals in Geneva, where most campers connect between sessions
- Transfer from airport to second camp

ACCOMMODATION
Campers stay in modern, all-weather tents with sprung beds, mattresses and ground cover. Tents are shared by 3 to 4 campers and shower and toilet facilities are located only 10 meters away.
Meals
Residential accommodation includes a full board meal plan with breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Laundry
Bed linen will not be provided as children will sleep in sleeping bags. Campers must bring their own towels.
Insurance
Insurance covering medical and travel assistance, personal liability and trip cancellation is not included in the price of the program. Marshall Language Services has a policy available through Guard.Me that covers these elements, as well as an additional policy through CareMed that covers cancellation under a wider range of circumstances, including the need to repeat school exams.
