The friLingue Schwarzsee Summer Camp for children and teenagers aged 10-17 takes place in an idyllic setting near the beautiful Schwarzsee lake. The camp offers excellent English, French or German programs as well its unique Dance, Art and Video program where young people from around the world join together and make a memorable summer exploring the Swiss Alps through exciting activities and excursions.
In the small canton of Fribourg, three very distinct holiday regions overlap: the Pre-Alps, the city of Fribourg, and the Three Lakes Region.
In the winter, the Pre-Alps region offers a superb infrastructure for winter sports. From Les Paccots to Gruyeres, in Charmey, Jaun, Schwarzsee, La Berra, Moléson-sur-Gruyère, over 100 km of marked and easily accessible routes attract all age groups, novices and experts alike, to the enchanted snow-covered countryside. In the summer, the resorts of Schwarzsee, Charmey, Bulle, Moléson and Les Paccots offer dream-like settings for adventure and hiking.
The city of Fribourg, the canton’s capital and economic center, offers a cultural treasure trove that goes back to the Middle Ages. Fribourg is known for its cultural diversity, university and gastronomy. In less than an hour’s drive from the Pre-Alps, the medieval cities of Murten and Estavayer-le-Lac are reachable. Even at the time of the Celts and Romans, the Three Lakes Region was a favourite place to holiday.

Sports facilities
The campus boasts an excellent sports complex with an indoor gym, several beach volleyball, football and basketball courts, a climbing wall and a lawn for a variety of games and activities. There are also table tennis, table football and billiard tables.
Student Welfare
On the campus, there is a dedicated office and staff providing student welfare. An emergency telephone is available 24/7.
Airport Transfers
Group airport transfers to and from Geneva airport are included in the cost of the program. Private transfers to and from Geneva and Zurich airports are available at an additional cost. Arrival is on Sunday and departure is on Saturday. To organize the transfers, Marshall Language Services will need to furnish the participant’s flight information to friLingue Schwarzsee Summer Camp. If children are travelling as unaccompanied minors, friLingue Schwarzsee Summer Camp staff will receive them from the airline personnel, and when the program is over, accompany the participants back to the airport and hand over the children to airline staff. The camp also offers accompanied train rides to and from Zurich or Bern for Swiss participants.

English Language Camp (Ages 10-17)
The English Language Camp program includes 20 lessons of English language per week. Students may take additional afternoon language classes held in smaller groups for an additional fee.
The programs provide:

French or German Language Camp (Ages 10-17)
The French or German Language Camp program includes 20 language lessons per week. Students may take additional afternoon language classes held in smaller groups for an additional fee.

Dance, Art and Video Camp (Ages 12-17)
The friLingue Schwarzsee Summer Camp offers this unique program combining language (English or French) tuition with practice of the arts, theater and video. The weekly program is flexible depending on the artistic and linguistic interests of the campers and there will be weekly collaborative exhibitions.
The programs provide:

RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION
Students on the summer camp program will be accommodated in the completely renovated Schwarzsee campus. Accommodation options include 4 or 3-bedded rooms with communal bathrooms or a double room with private shared bathroom.
Meals
Residential accommodation includes a full-board meal plan (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Laundry
Bed sheets and towels are provided.
Student Welfare
Students will receive 24/7 pastoral care during their entire stay.
Insurance
Insurance covering medical and travel assistance, personal liability and trip cancellation is not included in the price of the program. Marshall Language Services has a policy available through Guard.Me that covers these elements, as well as an additional policy through CareMed that covers cancellation under a wider range of circumstances, including the need to repeat school exams.
