Malaca Instituto is a Spanish language school located in the coastal city of Málaga in Spain, famous for its history, culture, food and beautiful beaches. Malaca Instituto, which is highly accredited for its Spanish Language teaching, offers adults excellent Spanish language courses including General Spanish, Examination Preparation, Spanish for Professionals, Teacher Training and Spanish Culture programs. Student Welfare
Malaca Instituto makes students’ welfare its utmost priority, and all staff and teachers are available to support students in a professional and confidential manner with any problems that might arise while they are away from home.
Airport Transfers
Transfers from and to Málaga’s airport can be arranged at an additional cost. Arrivals should be on a Sunday and departures on a Saturday (extra weekend nights are possible upon request). Marshall Language Services will need to furnish the participant’s flight information to Malaca Instituto so that the airport transfers can be organized.

GENERAL SPANISH COURSES

Intensive Spanish Course
The Spanish Intensive course is 20 lessons per week with a maximum of 10 students per class. The extra 4-10 lessons are focused on oral communication skills and are in reduced class sizes of 6 students.

- Course duration: 1 – 40 weeks
Super Intensive Spanish Course

One-to-one Spanish Course
Malaca Instituto offers one-to-one tailor made courses for specific learning needs and situations including professional Spanish and preparation for specific exams.
EXAMINATION PREPARATION AND UNIVERSITY PREPARATION COURSES
DELE Exam Spanish Preparation Course
Malaca Instituto offers DELE exam preparation courses for the levels A2, B1 and B2.

- Course duration: 2 weeks (A2), 4 weeks (B1 and B2)
University Access Spanish Course
Malaca Instituto offers a University Preparation program for access to an undergraduate degree in Humanities or Sciences at a Spanish University. The course includes preparation for the “PCE” and “PEvAU” examinations. For students with lower levels of Spanish, they may first take an Intensive Spanish course and continue with the university preparation program.

University Semester Spanish Course
The University Semester program is a combination of an Intensive Spanish course followed by a semester at a Spanish university. Students must achieve a B2 before the start of the semester at the University.

Entry to a Master’s Degree Spanish Course
Malaca Instituto offers a preparation program for access to a Master’s degree at a Spanish university. The program includes the Intensive 20 Spanish course with special focus on academic purposes, counselling and help with enrollment in the Master’s.

SPANISH FOR PROFESSIONALS
Spanish Course for Business
This is a highly intensive program made up of a combination of Intensive Spanish (4 lessons per day) and Business Spanish (2 lessons per day). Students may add additional one-to-one lessons.

Spanish Course for Trade and Commerce
This is a highly intensive program made up of a combination of Intensive Spanish (4 lessons per day) and Commercial Spanish (2 lessons per day). Students may add additional one-to-one lessons.

SPECIAL SPANISH COURSES
Spanish + Hispanic Studies Course
This course taken in its entirety will enable students to achieve a C1 level in Spanish and give them an overview of Spain’s cultural heritage, covering subjects such as Spanish Cinema and Media, Social/Political Institutions and the Economy, Geography, History, History of Art, Literature and the Spanish way of life. The program is divided into 2 terms:
- Term 1: 16 weeks of Intensive Spanish lessons until students reach the level B2.
- Term 2: 20 weeks of 10 lessons of Advanced Spanish + 10 lessons on Spanish culture and heritage per week.
Master Class – 50 Plus Spanish Course
The Master Class 50+ program combines 15 lessons of “everyday” Spanish with a cultural program of social activities aimed at this age group.

Spanish and Cookery Course
The Spanish and Cookery program combines the Intensive Spanish course with Spanish cooking lessons and a special activity program. The special activity program includes one cultural talk per week on a food/wine related topic and one local visit to a place of gastronomic interest.

Spanish and Flamenco or Salsa Course
The Spanish and Flamenco or Salsa programs combines the Intensive Spanish course with dance lessons and a special activity program.

TEACHER TRAINING
Malaca Instituto offers teacher training courses for teachers whose native language is not Spanish.
Advanced Spanish for Teachers of Spanish
This is a refresher course for experienced Spanish teachers that combines Advanced Spanish (entry level B2 completed) and Spanish teaching methodology.

- Number of lessons per week: 30 (20 lessons of Advanced Spanish + 10 lessons of Teaching Methodology)

Intensive Spanish 24 + One-to-one Methodology
This course is aimed at any teacher, of Spanish language or other subjects, who wants to improve his or her level of Spanish and acquire or refresh teaching skills.

- Number of lessons per week: 29 (20 lessons of Intensive Spanish + 4 lessons of “Dímelo” and 5 lessons of 1-1 Teaching Methodology)

HOST FAMILY
One of the best ways to experience the Spanish way of life and culture is to choose homestay accommodation. Homestays are in fact the accommodation of choice for the majority of students. The school and Marshall Language Services recommend this form of accommodation the most for language learning. Family life is informal and the people are welcoming, friendly and talkative, so students will have plenty of opportunities to practice their Spanish with native speakers.

- Meal plan: Half board (breakfast and dinner) or full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
- Homestays offer wireless internet.
- Bed linens and towels are provided
- Laundry service is available on request.
- All homestay families are located no more than a 30 minutes’ travel time from the school
- Accommodation is from Sunday to Saturday. It is possible to book extra nights at an additional cost

Club Hispanico Residence
Malaca Instituto offers its own on-site residence, Club Hispánico, offering standard or executive rooms. Standard rooms offered include single, twin or triple rooms. The school offers 3 types of executive accommodation: single or shared use executive rooms, Flow and Art artist executive rooms with exceptional design and fully-equipped executive studios.

SHARED APARTMENTS
Malaca Instituto offers shared student apartments to students aged 18 and over. Type A apartments are located maximum 20 minutes’ walk from the school and Type B apartments are located maximum 30 minutes’ travel time from the school. All apartments are shared by 3 to 7 students and offer single or twin bedrooms, shared bathrooms, kitchen and general living areas.
Insurance
Insurance covering medical and travel assistance, personal liability and trip cancellation is not included in the price of the program. Marshall Language Services has a policy available through Guard.Me that covers these elements, as well as an additional policy through CareMed that covers cancellation under a wider range of circumstances, including the need to repeat school exams.
