The Taunton School is a premium boarding school located in the beautiful Somerset countryside in Southern England, offering summer courses for students aged 8 – 17. Taunton is a town located in Somerset county in the South West of England. It is a town steeped in history with a variety of places to explore, from the superb Somerset Museum in the remnants of the castle to the Cricket Ground and Racecourse. Sports facilities
The Taunton school campus boasts state-of-the-art sports facilities including two indoor swimming pools, two sports halls, a gymnasium, a fully equipped fitness suite, a climbing wall, tennis courts, squash courts, an Olympic-sized all-weather hockey pitch and numerous sports pitches.
Student Welfare
On the campus, there is a dedicated office and staff for student welfare. Residential staff will be living in the boarding houses with students to provide 24-hour supervision.
Medical Facility
Qualified first-aiders are available on site 24 hours a day, nurses and doctors on call and a hospital is 10 minutes away from campus.
Airport Transfers
Transfers to and from London Heathrow and Bristol airports are included in the summer school fee. Arrivals and departures are on Saturdays. Transfers to and from other airports can be arranged at extra cost. Marshall Language Services will need to furnish the participant’s flight information to Taunton Summer School so that the airport transfers can be organized.

JUNIOR SUMMER SCHOOL (Ages 8-12)
The Junior Summer School program for students aged 8-12 includes 15 hours of General English tuition each week plus 10 hours of tuition of a chosen subject from the following:
- Academic Program: Range of subjects offered including Art, Design, Technology, Performing Arts, Science, Music, ICT and Humanities.
- STEM: Computer Programming and Robotics
- Multi-Sports
- Cookery

The Senior Summer School program for students aged 13-17 includes 15 hours of General English tuition each week plus 10 hours of tuition of a chosen subject from the following:
- Academic Program: Students study 2 academic themes every week. Academic themes offered include People and Places, Scientific Enquiry, Applied Mathematics and Creativity and the Arts.
- Future Business Leaders: This course provides an introduction to Business, Finance and Economics.
- STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
- Performing Arts
- Golf Academy
- Tennis Academy
- Pre-Sessional Courses: GCSE (ages 14-15) or A-Level, IB, Foundation (age 16-17) preparation program for 10 days.

RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION
Taunton Summer School offers quality residential accommodation on campus. Junior students will be accommodation in the Thone House or The Grange boarding houses in rooms shared by 3 to 6 students. Senior students will be accommodated in the Foxcombe or The Grange boarding houses in rooms shared by 1 to 3 students.
Meals
Residential accommodation includes a full-board meal plan (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Vegetarian options are also available.
Laundry
Laundry will be done twice a week.
Student Welfare
Experienced House Parents and boarding staff are available for support 24/7. There is also a matron as well as nurses and doctors available on call and a hospital 10 minutes’ away.

TAUNTON BOARDING SCHOOL
Taunton School is a private boarding and day school, which comprises a junior school for pupils aged 4 to 13 and the main school for 13 to 18 year olds. Its Sixth Form offers A-Levels, IB and BTEC. Marshall Language Services can also organize a placement in this school during the academic year.
